Aimee R. Johnson

Aimee R. Johnson, 50, Greenwood, passed away April 17, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Aimee was born May 16, 1970, to Jerry and Bridget (Michael) Lahrman. She married Eric Johnson on November 8, 1997, and he survives, along with her parents.

Aimee graduated from Roncalli High School in 1988 and attended IUPUI. Aimee managed the food service departments for schools, including Brebeuf Jesuit, Orchard School, International School, and most recently at Our Lady of the Greenwood. Aimee loved the gratification of seeing others enjoy her creations. She also did independent catering through the years for weddings and other events. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of the Greenwood and formerly at St. Mark and St. Malachy Churches. Aimee loved the outdoors – hiking, spending time at parks, and never turned down an opportunity to visit a beach in Florida. Above all, she loved her family and took great delight in raising her two girls. Aimee’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Eric; daughters, Paris E. and Ariel M. Johnson; parents, Bridget and Jerry Lahrman; siblings, Todd Lahrman, Mary Ann (Johnny) Schoettle, and Jill (Chris) Nelson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family will gather Tuesday, April 20, 2021, 4 to 8 p.m., at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. Aimee’s Life Celebration funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the funeral home. The funeral will be livestreamed on the funeral home’s YouTube channel by visiting www.ORileyFuneralHome.com. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Lord’s Pantry at Anna’s House, where Aimee enjoyed volunteering.
