Alice Joyce Cassetty, 84, Indianapolis, passed away February 27, 2024. Ms. Cassetty was born December 5, 1939, in Franklin, Kentucky, to the late Earl C. and Eula Mae (Grace) Cassetty.
Joyce was the oldest of seven children and lived her life with the innocence and youthfulness of an adolescent. From an early age, she had a strong belief in Christ and saw to that she was baptized. Joyce was a member of the Southeastern Church of Christ. She enjoyed scrapbooking, coloring, but most importantly, enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. December was a joyous month for Joyce because her birthday and Christmas ensured that the magic of the season surrounded her. She will be fondly remembered by a loving family.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Harville.
Survivors include her siblings, Audrey Jean (the late David) Spear, Mary (Lonnie) Cox, Gail (Clyde Christmas) Tyree, William (Carol) Cassetty, and Penny (Bob) Faucett; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family will gather Friday, March 1, 2024, 5 to 7 p.m., in the chapel at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 South East Street Indianapolis. Pastor Steve Kehrer will officiate the 7 p.m. funeral service. Joyce will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024.
