With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Andres Viduya, Sr., affectionately known as Papa and Lolo, who left us peacefully on August 12, 2024, at the age of 86. Andres was born to the late Aquilino Sr. and Priscila Viduya on November 10, 1937 in Mangaldan, Pagasinan, Philippines.
Andres married his late wife, Antonia Viduya, on June 17, 1959. Their 64 years of marriage was a testament to their deep love and commitment to each other. Together, they created a family that will always cherish the memories of their life together.
A skilled Maintenance Engineer at RCA for nearly 30 years, Andres was known for his meticulous work and unwavering commitment and determination. He had an impressive knack for repairing nearly anything that needed fixing and was an integral part of the family’s Carwash business, where he relished working alongside loved ones and engaging with the community. Beyond his professional life, he had a passion for capturing family moments, always with a camera in hand, preserving precious memories for his loved ones. Andres was also known for his enthusiasm for karaoke, especially his fondness for Celine Dion’s music.
Andres’ kindness, humor, and generosity will be greatly missed. He was a man who loved deeply and lived life to its fullest, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and togetherness. May he rest in peace, knowing that his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Andres is survived by his siblings Aquilino (Isabel) Viduya, Jr. and Sixto (Laureta) Viduya; his brother-in-law, Tito Sarzaba and his sisters-in-law, Juaning Viduya and Dr. Monica Deogracias.
His legacy lives on through his devoted children; Raymond (Eva) Viduya, Jesus (Mecidita) Viduya, Andres (Lisa) Viduya, Tony (Jennie) Viduya, Richard (Angie) Viduya, and Nanette (Shawn) Matney. He will be dearly remembered by his adoring grandchildren: Genevieve and Patrick Viduya, Monette (Jeremy) Wagner, Jessica Viduya, Dominic (Nicolette), Zachary and Nicholas Viduya, Andrea Viduya, Gabrielle and Alec Viduya, and Marisa and Sam Matney, along with his cherished great-grandchildren: Vivienne, Evalynn, and Xavier Wagner, and Teagan Viduya.
Andres is preceded in death by his wife, Antonia Viduya, and his siblings; Romeo Viduya, Maria “Mely” Sarzaba, Mario Viduya and Maximo Viduya.
