Angela Kelli Foster - Searles

Angela “Kelli” Foster – Searles, 63 of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday August 12 surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought battle with illness.

 Kelli was born on October 19, 1959, in Indianapolis to Clyde and Anna (Uljans) Foster. She was a 1978 graduate of Warren Central HS and a 1982 graduate of Ball State University with degrees in Journalism and Psychology. She began her career as a reporter and then editor with both the Zionsville Times and the Indiana Business Journal. She then began work for the Center for Hip and Knee Surgery in Mooresville, IN and rose to become Director of Marketing for Kendrick Memorial Hospital, which later became part of Franciscan Healthcare. Kelli excelled in her vocation there for 35 years and rose up the ranks to become Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Franciscan Health Indianapolis.

Kelli had a passion for animals and rescued and fostered countless cats, dogs, and even raccoons and ferrets. She loved everything outdoors including bird watching and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling, art, antiquing, and celebrating her mother’s native Latvian culture.

Kelli ’s biggest passion was her family and is survived by children Aaron Searles, Samantha Searles, brother, Mark (Jill) Foster , step mother Ellen Foster, and her husband of 30 years, Mark Searles. Kelli was preceded in death by her parents Clyde Emerson Foster, Jr., and Anna Uljans Foster. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial gathering for Kelli will be on Thursday, August 17, 2023 with visitation from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and a Celebration of Life service to begin at 6:00 PM. This will take place at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
