Beverly Ann Carrico, a beloved member of the Indianapolis community, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the age of 84, surrounded by her family and the warmth of her faith. Born on August 11, 1940, in Whitfield, Indiana, Beverly devoted her life to serving her family and others and embodying the spirit of kindness, compassion, and generosity.
A cherished member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Beverly's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found great joy in her dedicated service as a eucharistic minister to shut-ins and was actively involved in Bible School, sharing her love for God with everyone she encountered. Her gentle, soft-spoken demeanor made her a light in the lives of many, reflecting the values she held dear. For Beverly, the church was not just a place of worship; it was a sanctuary where she connected deeply with her community and extended her compassion to those in need. She adored spending time with her grandchildren.
Outside of her spiritual commitments, Beverly had a deep passion for working in her flower gardens and watching the birds at her bird feeders. Her love for nature was apparent and provided tranquility and beauty to her life and the lives of those around her. Those who visited her home were often greeted by the sights and scents of her lovingly tended blooms, a true testament to her nurturing character. Beverly was very passionate for the unborn and loved volunteering at the ministries 'Right To Life' and 'Healing Hidden Hurts.'
Beverly leaves her legacy of love and faith to her beloved family. Her children, Ken (Angie Kimbley) Carrico, Pamela Carrico, Julie (Bob) Stone, Suzie Preidt, siblings Theresa Berry, Louise Craney, Martha Green, and Rita Lillpop, grandchildren Tyler Richart, Joseph Ernstes, Scott Ernstes, Kara (Fahmi) Grey, Alyssa Preidt, John Preidt, great-grandchildren, Kaiya and Ryder Grey. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Carrico, parents Victor and Mary Doyle Craney, and siblings Eula Traylor, Mary Sue Crouse, Rosie Boese, Ron Craney, Ed Craney and Kathy Fritchie.
Beverly is remembered as a kind, caring, and compassionate soul who touched the hearts of many. She had a unique ability to listen and offer support, creating bonds that would last a lifetime. Her legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of those she held dear.
Visitation will be held at O’Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227 on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A second visitation will take place at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227 on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Family and friends will gather for a mercy meal in the fellowship hall following the Mass. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 20 at 12:00 PM at St. Martin Cemetery, Whitfield, Indiana.
