Catherine A. Wilson

Catherine A. Wilson, 53, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at Indiana University Health West in Avon. Born in Hobart, Indiana on May 16, 1965, Catherine was the daughter of Michael and Susan (Davis) Bobele.

Catherine was a graduate of Hobart High School and worked as the Director of Customer Experience at NAP Gladu in Jasper, Indiana. Prior to that, Catherine worked for many years as the Client Success Manager at PrimePay in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who took pride in her faith and her family. She loved football, patriotism, and travel. Catherine enjoyed cooking for her family and burying her toes in the sand. She was passionate about encouraging others to reach their full potential. She loved the Colts, Cubs, and Harleys.

Catherine is preceded in death by her father, Michael Bobele and her sister, Alice Bobele Vendl.

Survivors include her four children, Ashley S. (Gregory) Backus of Indianapolis, Stephen M. (Emily) Wilson of Camby, Joseph R. (Ashley) Wilson of Indianapolis, and Allison M. Wilson of Chicago; her mother and step-father, Susan and Wayne Johnson of Leesburg, Indiana; her brother, Michael D. (Janice) Bobele of Valparaiso, Indiana; her sister, Michele D. (Glen Pilkington) Bobele of Easley, South Carolina; five grandchildren, James, Silas, and Michael Backus, and Jillian and Maxwell Wilson; and her sixth grandchild, Baby Wilson, due to arrive in August.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Catherine A. Wilson from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis where morning prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Roch Catholic Church.
