Charles Edwin Boles, lovingly known as Chuck, passed away on May 23, 2024, in his hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on January 29, 1959, Charles led a remarkable life dedicated to serving his country and pursuing his passions.
Charles proudly served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years as a communications technical control operator, where he displayed unwavering dedication and commitment to his duties. His exemplary service was not only a testament to his professionalism but also to his deep love for his country.
Outside of his military career, Charles was a man of diverse interests. He had a profound love for reading. A formidable opponent on the chessboard, Charles enjoyed the intellectual challenge that the game provided. Additionally, he harbored a soft spot for science fiction, allowing his imagination to roam free within the realms of distant galaxies and futuristic technologies.
In his passing, Chuck leaves behind a legacy of courage, and kindness, that will be cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by his siblings: Joseph Radican, James Boles, Pamela Alte, Bart Reiger, and Mike Reiger; as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Ben, AJ, Tiffany, Christian, Elizabeth, Justin, Cassandra, Samanta, Travis; along with Christy, Kyle, and Sydney. Chuck is also survived by his sister-in-law Diana Collins.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Boles and Mary Helen Reiger and brother David Reiger.
