Daniel Clayton Derish

Daniel Clayton Derish, 36, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Born in Ft. Myers, Florida on February 10, 1982, Daniel was the son of Charlie Clayton Derish and Tamera Jo (Key) Arthur. On May 10, 2008 he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Heather Marie (Fieler) Derish.

Daniel was recently employed at Oscar Larson as a fuel service technician. With aspirations of opening his own restaurant, Daniel enjoyed cooking and was always a big help around the house; he also enjoyed playing video games with his children.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Heather; his father and step-mother, Charlie C. and Lela Derish of Ft. Myers, Florida; his mother and step-father, Tamera Jo and Roger Arthur of Greenwood; two sons, Damian James and Desmon William Derish both of Indianapolis; his daughter, Alicia Sue Derish of Greenwood; two sisters, Lauren Ashley (Christopher) Cooper of Whiteland and Victoria Caitlyn (Tyler) Suiters of Scranton, Pennsylvania; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Grace Richardson of Indianapolis; and his maternal grandparents, Bob Key of Indianapolis, and Jeraldine Key of Franklin; and his six Pit Bulls, Archer, Lana, Mallory, Sterling, Drogo, and Nymeria.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Daniel C. Derish from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street (U.S. Hwy. 31), Indianapolis. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home; a celebration of life meal will be held at the funeral home immediately following the service.
