David L. Loudenback

David L. Loudenback, 57, passed away peacefully at home January 9, 2021. Dave was born May 9, 1963, in Beech Grove, to the late Lynn Loudenback and Marcella (Shaw) Loudenback, who survives. He married Cathy Sallee on July 15, 1989, and she survives also.

Dave graduated from Perry Meridian High School and earned a business degree from Indiana University in 1985. For many years, Dave was a salesman and area distributor for Kirby Vacuums. Most recently, he was in sales for Fikes Fresh Brands for the past 16 years. Dave’s likeable and friendly personality was a great asset to his successful career in sales. He was a faithful and loyal member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He enjoyed the community of the church, regularly attending the 7:30 a.m. Mass and always looked forward to working the yearly parish summer festival. Dave also enjoyed sports, especially golf, basketball, and the Indianapolis 500. He always looked forward to family vacations that centered around water – Key West and the Outer Banks were amongst his favorites. Above all, Dave was a strong family man who was caring, extremely generous, and loyal. His memory will be cherished by his loved ones and many friends.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cathy; sons, John and Steven (Allison); mother, Marcella; brother, Dan (Becky); sisters, Diana (Frank) Smith and Deana (Troy) Haney; granddaughter, Eliza and one grandson on the way.

Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2021, 4 to 8 p.m., in the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2021, at St. Jude Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
