Gary Thomas Lamb

Gary Thomas Lamb, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly on June 17, 2020 in Muncie. Gary was born in California on October 27, 1963 to the late Charles Daniel Lamb and Linda (Landino) Lamb; Linda survives. On September 5, 1987 Gary wed Patricia Welsh in Temple City, California.

Gary had a successful career in construction, most recently being employed by E/M Company in Southport, Indiana as a Commercial Electrician. Gary was an electrician for over 33 years. Gary was an incredibly hard worker who took pride in his home; he always had an immaculate yard. Gary was often called the “Toolman”, who could always be found fixing or building things. Gary was a gun and Harley Motorcycle enthusiast. He was known to be an awesome cook on the grill and made amazing steaks. Most of all, Gary loved to travel to visit his family and spending time with friends. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Patricia “Patty” (Welsh) Lamb; his mother, Linda Lamb; his step-children, Milton James “Jimmy” (Mary) Sanderfer, III, Jeffery A. Sanderfer, Jeremy S. (Brittany) Sanderfer, Joshua J. (Candace) Sanderfer; step-grandchildren, Brittney, Michael, Amber, Aaron, Sean, Grace, Dorothy, Jesse, Caleb, Lillian, Amaris, and Kaia; siblings, James (Dawn) Lamb, Danny (Suzanne) Lamb, Julie (Jan Niblett) Lamb, and Jeanie Bernier; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Gary’s life on Monday, June 22, 2020 from 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 P.M. in the funeral home on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society; envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
