Helen M. Lawler

Helen M. Lawler, 93 of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Helen had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for Dana Corporation in Richmond, Indiana. She was a member of Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church. After raising her family in Richmond, Indiana, Helen and her husband moved to Florida where they lived for 23 years.

Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Verlin Lawler, daughter Jana Heath, parents William and Hilda Wissel Ripperger, brothers Rev. William Ripperger, Rev Harold Ripperger, Carroll Ripperger grandson Thomas, great grandson Ayden. She is survived by her children Marlene (Fred) Porter, Carol (Jim) Kempf, Elaine (Rick) Chance, William (Lauree) Lawler, Mark (Nancy) Lawler, siblings Edward (Roseanne) Ripperger, Louis Ripperger, Mary O’Donnell and Bob (Kathy) Ripperger, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday July 22, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 South Meridian Street, Greenwood, Indiana, followed by a memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. The burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Palmetto, Florida.
