Janice M. Champion

Janice M. Champion, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018. Janice was born September 20, 1949 in Evansville to the late Harry Williams, II and Ruby L. (Bratcher) Williams.

Janice proudly worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for several years and later, during the years while she was raising her family, lovingly took on the role of a homemaker. Janice raised her daughter, Neila as member of Fellowship Baptist in Witcherville, Arkansas. Her memory will be cherished by her loving family and a host of friends.

Along with her parents, Janice is also preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher J. Champion; and two sisters, Sandra Hines and Nancy Jo Huffman.

Survivors include her two daughters, Neila D. (Rob) Goldman of Indianapolis, and Pam S. Schocke of Jasper, Indiana; one brother, Harry (Victoria) Williams, III of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; six sisters, Pamela (Warren) Kinkade of Henderson, Kentucky, Tandra (Woody) Ricer of Evansville, Indiana, Rebecca (Mike) Jones of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Jennifer (Foster) Brabec of Mountainburg, Arkansas, Martha Arnold of St. Augustine, Florida, and Emily (David) McLaughlin of Witcherville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Angel, Morgan, Matt, Molly, and Jr.; six great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Edwin, Preston, Anna, Colson, Myah; 21 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life Janice Champion from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. The memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
