Jeremy Douglas Bumbalough, 21, Greenwood, passed away July 28, 2021. Jeremy was born January 20, 2000, in Muncie, to Douglas J. Bumbalough and Sherri (Henman) Bumbalough.
Jeremy grew up in Hamilton County and attended schools primarily in Noblesville. He earned his GED from Richmond High School. As a young boy, he loved basketball and over time, developed good skills as a shooter and ball handler. When not playing basketball, Jeremy also loved to fish in the neighborhood ponds. He was a good fisherman and caught the only catfish known to come out of one of the ponds. Jeremy enjoyed shopping and especially liked finding a deal at various flea markets. He had been employed as a forklift operator in Richmond for a period of time. Jeremy was energetic, optimistic, persistent, and inquisitive. He loved his family and will be fondly remembered by his loved ones for his happy and loving manner.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jerry Bumbalough; paternal step-grandfather, Joseph Wayne; maternal grandparents, Harry Henman and Sheila Henman.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Douglas Jeremy and Heather Bumbalough; mother, Sherri Diane (Henman) Bumbalough; daughter, Armani Khai Wilson; brothers, Michael Lemerande, Christopher Fawcett, Zachary Bumbalough, Austin Duncan, Shane Lemerande, and Patrick Duncan; sisters, Rebecca Bobholz, Kaija Madson and Kaylee Bumbalough, grandmother, Barbara Wayne.
Jeremy’s Life Celebration® Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, on Thursday, August 5, 2021, 4 to 7 p.m., with the funeral service at 7 p.m. The committal and burial will be on Friday, August 6, 2021, 11 a.m., at Washington Park North Cemetery.
