John Joseph Guilfoy Jr.

73, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 7, 2023. John was born in Indianapolis on February 12, 1950, to the late John & Catherine Guilfoy. John was a 1968 graduate of Cathedral High School. John spent most of his career in the produce industry and retired from the Indianapolis Fruit Company. John was never afraid of hard work and displayed this throughout his lifetime. John was a family man and loved being with his wife, children & granddaughters. He could often be found at his granddaughters sporting events and was a huge sports enthusiast himself. John loved to cook and play golf. He always had an “open door” policy and anyone and everyone was always welcome. He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.

John is survived by his loving wife of 54 years; Barbara Huxley-Guilfoy, children: John (Ronnie) Guilfoy III and Jamie (Molly) Guilfoy, granddaughters; Catherine, Ella, Leah and Cara, brothers; Paul (Phyllis) Guilfoy, Kevin (Mary Fran) Guilfoy and Joe (Patty) Guilfoy and sister; Beth (Don) Speigl.

John is preceded in death by his siblings; Tom Guilfoy and Peg Guilfoy.

A celebration of John’s life will take place at a later date.
