Julia A. Baker, 73, Indianapolis, passed away May 20, 2017. Julia was born February 17, 1944, to the late Louis and Margaret Wagner.
A longtime bailiff for the City of Indianapolis, Julia worked in Circuit Court for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards and caring for others. Described by her family as kind, sweet, and strongly devoted, she will be fondly remembered by her loved ones and many friends.
Survivors include her son, Brian Baker; daughter, Paula (Ray) Martin; brother, Richard Wagner; grandchildren, Ryan Smith and Logan White; great grandchildren, Ethan and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brayton Baker and one brother, Dan Wagner.
Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Julia’s life from 2 – 5 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017, in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AFSP or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
