Karen Terhune, 67, passed away February 10th, 2024. She was born to James and Lucille Niedenthal on February 25th, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN. She attended St. Roch Catholic School and Southport High School. Karen was a sweetheart of a woman. She brought positivity and kindness to every situation and was always quick to lighten the mood with a joke or story. She believed the only thing better than cheese was more cheese, yard sales are the best place to shop and that it was almost impossible to overfeed a cat. She loved hummingbirds, hat collecting, bicycles and she more than likely helped the jewelry channel achieve record profits thanks to her many purchases. Having never missed a spirit or theme day, she was known as the fun lunch lady at Southport High School and Lincoln Elementary. She was preceded in death by her mom and dad, her son, Chris (thanks for bringing that up), and is survived by her son Brent, daughter-in-law Rysha, and her overfed cat, Homer. Her celebration of life will be Monday, February 26th at the Greenwood Community Center from 1:30 to 3:30. Formal attire is not required; however, clothing purchased at a yard sale or thrifted is highly encouraged. Please take the day off of work, she'd want you to have a three-day weekend. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in honor of Karen. Service entrusted to O'Riley-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 1607 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227. |
