Lois Ann Holzer

Lois Ann (McIntire) Holzer, 83, Greenwood, passed away March 11, 2018. Mrs. Holzer was born May 30, 1934, in Terre Haute, to the late Raymond and Mildred (Lustig) McIntire. She was widowed to Norbert J. Holzer, who died in 2011. Lois and Norb shared a strong, special marriage.

She graduated from Sacred Heart in 1952 and continued to look forward to monthly gatherings with her classmates. Lois was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting and other needle work, camping, and playing cards, especially euchre and pinochle, and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. She was also a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital and Hospice through the years. Lois will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.

The Holzer Family is especially grateful for the wonderful care extended to Lois during her time in residence at Greenwood Village South.

In addition to her parents and Norb, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry McIntire and a sister, Jeanette Malvestuto.

Survivors include her children, Greg (Joellen) Holzer, Lori (John) Miller, Julie (Greg) Daeger, and Kara (Jeff) Miller; brother, David McIntire; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 15, 2018, 5 to 8 p.m., in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, where morning prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2018. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
