Lowell F. Robinson, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. He was born on June 13, 1933, in Indianapolis.
He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. One of his many duties was assembling and handling bombs and torpedoes on an aircraft carrier. He was a proud union member of Local 440. He was a plumber for 40 years, last working for Griesmer Plumbing.
Lowell was an avid fisherman, he especially enjoyed camping and fishing in Canada. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time at their lake cottage. Lowell will be remembered for his determination to problem solve and fix about anything on his own, his gift of gardening the tastiest tomatoes ever, winning a blue ribbon at the county fair for his canned tomatoes, telling a good joke, and frying fish for the family. He’ll be warmly remembered for his love of family.
Lowell is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ethel Sneider Robinson, beloved wife Judith Field Robinson, son Mark Robinson, brother Denny Robinson
He is survived by his loving daughters Cathy (Wayne) Wimmenauer, Debbie Nail, Patty (Bill) Todd, grandchildren Jason, Doug, Austin, Zach, Elliot, Patrick, great grandchildren Madisyn, Gwen, Davaney, Benjamin and Cecilia.
Visitation for Lowell will be Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
