Luther G. Scott, a cherished figure and a remarkable contributor to the lives of many, passed away tragically in a motorcycle accident on September 2 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 73. He was born on May 16, 1951, in Natchez, Mississippi, to Frances Pendelton and Joseph Brown. Luther lived a life rich in love, laughter, and a relentless dedication to his family and profession.

As a hardworking general contractor in the construction industry, Luther's craftsmanship was not just his career; it was a reflection of his spirit. Known for being an adept handyman, he had the unique ability to fix or build anything. His expertise was matched only by his unwavering passion for his work, inspiring those around him to appreciate the skill involved in building and creating.

Luther was not only a dedicated professional but a proud US Navy veteran who served his country with honor. After his military service, he channeled his discipline and strength into various pursuits, becoming a martial arts master and instructor. His life was a testament to intelligence and determination as he instilled these values in the generations to come.

He was a loving father, a kind-hearted friend, and a well-known and adored figure in his community. Those who knew him often reflected on how his children referred to him as "the greatest man they have ever known." His zest for life and joyful spirit were contagious, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and connection among friends and family.

Luther is survived by his children; Jonathan, Courtney, and Kobi Scott, grandchildren; Capella, Cadonna, Caluvia, John II, and John III, 7 siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Luther is preceded in death by one brother.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the life and legacy of Luther G. Scott. A memorial gathering will be held on September 19, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, both taking place at O’Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory located at 6107 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
