Margaret "Marge" Dicks

Margaret “Marge” Dicks, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on November 12, 2023, with her loving family by her side. Margaret was born in Beech Grove, Indiana, on May 5, 1927, to the late Walter & Mary Stumpf. Margaret married the love of her life, James Francis Dicks on November 26, 1949, and they shared 53 beautiful years together. Marge loved the Lord and was very devoted and faithful to St. Jude Catholic Church for over 56 years. She was the President of The Christian Mother’s Club and loved to bowl. Cooking and feeding people was her love language. It was important to her to take care of others. She had a great sense of humor, a “straight shooter” and told it like it was. She was very even tempered and was happiest when she was with her family and friends.

Marge is survived by her children; Dianne (Dave) Durrett, Donna (Richard) Clarkson, David (Ann) Dicks and Jeanne (Chad) Campbell, along with 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and daughter-in-law; Helen O’Niell

Marge was preceded in death by her loving husband; James Francis Dicks, sons; James M. Dicks and Thomas W. Dicks, great grandchildren; Holley Ann Hale & James Michael Durrett and her siblings; Walter E. Stumpf & Marianne Leesman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church from 9:00am to 10:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the church at 10:00am. Margaret will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery immediately following Mass.
