Marilyn Hurrle

February 5, 1931 — May 19, 2021

Marilyn Rose (Arbuckle) Hurrle, 90, Indianapolis, passed away May 19, 2021. Mrs. Hurrle was born February 5, 1931, in Indianapolis, to the late George Meredith and Loretta Martha (McGrath) Arbuckle.

She graduated from Howe High School in 1948 and attended Indiana University. Mrs. Hurrle retired from St. Francis Hospital after 22 years in labor and delivery. She was a charter and faithful member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church. She was also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, enjoyed traveling, and was an avid reader. Above all, she was strongly devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her memory will be cherished by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, Christopher; daughter Karen Barthelmes; and grandson Phillip Hurrle.

Survivors include her children Cathy (Gary) Bray, Jim (Patsy) Hurrle, Lynn (Dave) Cox, Terri (Steve) Adams, and Jenni Peterman; son-in-law Dave Barthelmes; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 23, 2021, 5-7 p.m., at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 24, 2021, in St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Catholic Church ATTN Father Sciarra Legacy Fund, 8300 Rahke Rd.
