Martha (Clayton) Parrish

Martha (Clayton) Parrish, 69, of Indianapolis passed away at her home on December 23, 2019. Martha was born in Indianapolis on July 14, 1950 to the late Lewis and Irene (Kleinbeck) Clayton.

Martha was a very quiet and reserved person. Martha loved to put together jig-saw puzzles and to watch television; a couple of her favorite shows were The Andy Griffith Show and Red Fox. Martha will be remembered as someone who always loved to laugh and enjoyed humor. Martha will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Along with her parents, Martha is preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Bigelow and a sister-in-law, Nancy Clayton.

Survivors include her brother, Michael Clayton; nieces, Diana Hanes, Barbara Poynter, Mary Ross, Linda Ingle, Cindy Berry, and Paula Bigelow; nephews, Eddie and Brian Bigelow; and a host of cousins.

Calling hours will be observed on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. A funeral service for Martha will begin on Friday at 6:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Martha will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
