Mary Carol Mills

Mary Carol (Sahm) Mills, 54, Indianapolis, passed away October 5, 2021. Mary was born December 8, 1966, in Beech Grove. Mary is at peace and is reunited with her parents, the late Mark and Loretta (Staab) Sahm.

She attended Roncalli High School and graduated from Beech Grove High School. She also earned an associate degree from the University of Indianapolis. Mary worked as a business analyst for many years in the financial sector. She grew up in Holy Name Parish and later attended St. Jude Catholic Church. She was an animal lover who was especially fond of cats and dogs and was known to bring home a few strays occasionally. Mary was an avid TV watcher and always looked forward to tuning into her favorite shows. She was a generous, caring, and compassionate person who believed in always treating others as you would want to be treated. Her loving family will fondly remember her smile and laughter.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sarah Kays and Emily Kays; sister, Joanne (Keith) Sauter; brother, Raymond (Rita) Sahm.

A service to honor and remember the life of Mary Mills will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, 1 p.m., at the O’Riley Funeral Home, with visitation from 11 a.m. Cremation rites have been observed, and inurnment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
