Michael A. Pinna, 75, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home September 13, 2017. Mr. Pinna was born November 8, 1941, in Chicago, to the late Michael B. and Lillian (Rosell) Pinna.
He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1960 and was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church. A longtime furniture salesman, he also owned Colonial Funiture, Mike’s Furniture Center, and New Discount Furniture, retiring in 2008. Mike’s greatest accomplishment was his close knit family who were the constant benefactors of his kindness and love.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jessica Pinna.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Susie (Schmoll) Pinna; children, Brandon Michael (Nancy) Pinna, Shelly (Chris) Winter, Jim (Angie) Pinna, Stephanie (David) Marshall, Liz (Dean) Beer; sister, Marie (the late Tom) Radkevich and her children, Yuri and Ashley; 17 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday, September 17, 2017, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East St., where morning prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m., Monday, September 18, 2017. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, in the Calvary Cemetery Chapel.
