Michael Anthony Navarra, Jr.

Michael Anthony Navarra, Jr., 59, of Brandon, Florida, and previously of Carmel, passed away on March 24, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with his health. Michael was born in Indianapolis on August 30, 1961 to Michael Anthony and Frances (Caito) Navarra.

Michael graduated from Bishop Chatard High School. He went on to maintain numerous jobs in telecommunications over the years. He was very talented when it came to repairing things, always eager to lend a helping hand. If Michael couldn’t fix it; it couldn’t be fixed. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed boating and riding motorcycles. He will be remembered as a very good son, father, and brother who had a great sense of humor.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Michael Anthony Navarra, Sr., who passed away on December 23, 2013.

Survivors include his mother, Frances (Caito) Navarra; daughters, Gina M. (Matthew) Green, Angela “Ang” (Yeni) Navarra, and Laura Navarra; siblings, Charles Navarra, Francie (Neil) O'Mahony, Mary Ann Swiss, Theresa (Eric) Halvorson, Gus (Suzi) Navarra, Anthony (Laura) Navarra, and Michele (David) Roth; his two grandchildren, Trevor and Eliana Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Family and friends will gather for the visitation on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. Recitation of the Rosary will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 PM. The Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 9, 2021 in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 520 Stevens Street, Indianapolis.
