Nicholas Anthony Schoettle, “Everyone’s Friend”, 50 of Indianapolis, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 21, 2022.
Nick was born on July 3, 1972, in Beech Grove to Michael and Jean Ann Buckel Schoettle.
Nick graduated from Roncalli High School in 1990. He was a courier for his family business Gotta Have it Courier.
Nick will always be remembered for his back-to-school parties and always fixing prime rib for his family every Christmas. Nick was a fan of Notre Dame football, New York Jets, Atlanta Braves and the Tampa Bay Lightning. He enjoyed betting on the horses, playing golf, reading and doing crossword puzzles. Nick could be seen at his nieces and nephews sporting events. Family ruled for Nick.
Nick is survived by his parents Michael and Jean Ann Schoettle, siblings: Amy (Jim) Curd, Dan (Liz) Schoettle, Andy (Amy) Schoettle, Marcy (Mark) Buis, Sandy (Bryon) Wilson, Vince (Luv) Schoettle, Jessica Schoettle and his 21 nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Nick’s visitation will be Thursday, July 28 from 4 – 8 PM at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis, IN. Morning prayers will be said on Friday July 29 at 9:15 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Jude Catholic Church. 5353 McFarland Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials in Nick’s name may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Society.
