Rita A. Beauregard, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly at the Indiana University Health's University Hospital on Friday, August 31, 2018. Rita was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on May 22, 1945 to the late William and Marie (Brewer) Turk.
Rita worked as an interior designer for the first 15 years of her career at Gerdt Furniture. When Rita left Gerdt she continued her work as an interior designer as an active member of the American Society of Interior Decorators. A devoted Catholic, Rita was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church where she participated in the Ladies Club.
Along with her parents, Rita is preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Donald Turk; and three sisters, Joy Schoonover, Wanda Sedgewick, and Elizabeth Dicus.
Survivors include her husband, David E. Beauregard; sons, David E. (Annetta), Douglas W. (Sherri), and Craig M. (Julie) Beauregard; a daughter, Nichole (Robert) Vanator; brothers, Jerry (Nancy) and William Turk; grandchildren, Jaggerd, Riley, Isabella, Avery, Jacqueline, and Charlotte Beauregard.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018 in the Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis. A time for sharing will begin at 7:30 on Monday evening. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at St. Roch Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to be made in Rita’s honor to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
