Robert “Bob” Lee Griner, 91 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 27, 1932, in Indianapolis.
Bob proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as an inspector for Ford Motor Company for 32 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the UAW.
Bob enjoyed playing golf and video games and doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. He was an avid woodworker and had a great passion for his country music.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mable Stockdale Griner, brothers Charles Griner, Paul Griner, and Richard Griner, sisters Valera Driesbach, Rosie Edmonds, and Katie Meador. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 37 years Diane Pennington Griner, sisters, Mary Carolyn Taylor, Shirley Eustace, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Bob will be Wednesday, March 13 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. A Celebration of his life will be at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
