Rosalie Ann Rolfsen, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away at her home on September 12, 2023. Rosalie was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Rosalie was born in Indianapolis on December 19, 1937, to the late Charles & Marjorie Betzner. Rosalie was a graduate of Southport High School-Class of 1955. She still enjoyed having lunch with her high school friends. Her kindness was unmatched, and she thrived on helping others. Her family will tell you that she had the patience of “Job” and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Rosalie was known as the “Queen of Christmas”, as it was her favorite holiday. She always went “all out” during this time of year to ensure everyone had a wonderful Christmas. She was an avid reader and an amazing cook. Her children will attest that while growing up she provided a home-cooked meal every night. Rosalie could often be found at her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. It was always important to her that each one of them felt special when spending time with Grandma.
Rosalie is survived by her loving husband of 67 years; Paul Rolfsen, children; Jeff (Susan) Rolfsen, Chris (Kathy) Rolfsen, Debbie (Greg Klein) Rolfsen-Klein and Mike (Stephanie) Rolfsen, grandchildren; Chad (Shelby) Rolfsen, Eric (Krystle) Rolfsen, Kaiti (Robbie) Robinson, Meredith (Greg) Hamilton, Michael (Erin) Garner, Emma, Ava & Charlie Rolfsen, Tyler (Jen) Karkosky and Kyle (Mattea) Karkosky, along with 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother; Charles (Marilyn) Betzner.
