Sarah Ann Green, 43, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 26, 2024. She was born on January 30, 1981, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to Mary Wheeler & Danny J. Green. Her vibrant spirit and cherished memories will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
Sarah graduated from Beech Grove High School in 1999. She continued her academic pursuits at IUPUI, earning a bachelor’s degree in Journalism. This educational foundation served her well in her career, which flourished in the hospitality and event planning fields. For many years, Sarah worked as a server and bartender at Fireside Brewhouse in Greenwood, Indiana, where she showcased her commitment to exceptional service while making countless friends. She later took her talents to Valle Vista as an event planner and ultimately founded her own business, Sarah Andrews Events. Through her creativity in floral design and wedding planning, she made countless dreams come true, emphasizing the importance of including everyone in life’s special moments.
A true lover of music, Sarah embraced every opportunity to attend concerts alongside her fiancé Mark, her bonus children—Dylan, Dominick, Zoe, and Hunter—and her wide circle of friends. Her love for all genres of music reflected her generous spirit and zest for life, where every evening spent at a concert was not just an event but a celebration of togetherness and joy.
Sarah’s warmth and kindness were felt by many; she never met a stranger and was regarded as the glue that held her tight-knit group of friends together. Social gatherings and parties were highlights in her life, a testament to her lively personality and eagerness to foster connections. She brought people together, ensuring that everyone felt welcomed and included in every celebration, whether big or small.
Outside of her professional life, Sarah found joy in camping adventures, where laughter and nature intertwined, as well as in the joyous birthday celebrations of her bonus children, celebrating milestones with love and enthusiasm.
As we remember Sarah Ann Green, we honor the love she poured into every aspect of her life. Her legacy is one of friendship, creativity, and boundless joy. She leaves behind not only precious memories but also a strong reminder to celebrate life to the fullest, to embrace every moment, and above all, to include everyone. Sarah is survived by her mother; Mary (Jerry) Wheeler, step-father; Dean A. Wheeler, sister; Erin (Sean) Reeves, brother; Matthew Wheeler, grandmother; Barbara Green, niece; Lorelei, fiancé; Mark Andrews, bonus children; Dylan, Dominick, Zoe, and Hunter Andrews, future in-laws; Tom & Dawn Perry, along with future sisters-in-law; Liza (Tim) O'Brien & Anna Perry, and future brother-in-law; Seth (Sarah) Andrews.
Sarah is preceded in death by her father; Danny J. Green.
A Memorial Gathering will take place on October 9, 2024 from 9:30AM-11:00AM at Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00AM in the church.
