Sulekh Chand, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away at his residence in the early morning hours of December 8, 2022. Sulekh was born on August 15, 1936, in Ban Village in Ladwa, India to the late Dalel Singh and Patori Devi.
Sulekh was a proud landowner and farmer in India. He farmed sugar cane, Rice, and Potatoes, and he rented his farmland to other farmers as well. Sulekh loved to explore and go for walks, try new foods, and had a great sense of humor where he was known to be a bit of a prankster! Devoted to Hinduism, he frequently prayed and watched religious programs.
Sulekh will be remembered as an incredibly kind man who never raised his voice toward anyone. He loved to live life with an encouraging and optimistic sense, while always keeping things light-hearted and silly. His clever sense of humor and zest for life will be greatly missed by his family.
Along with his parents, Sulekh was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, who passed away on Nov 17th 2007, and she was born on Jan 26th 1940.
Survivors include his children, Virender Laller, HarJinder Singh, Sumitra Devi, Parvinder Kaur, Nirmala Devi, and Priyanka Rani; his grandchildren, Tailish Laller, Srishti Laller, Rishi Laller, Surya Laller, Ani, Vanshi, and Valish; and a host of extended family members.
