Therese Mae Schoettle, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 16, 2024. Therese was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on October 20, 1953, too the late Ernest & Betty Pfeiffer. Therese was a 1971 graduate of Roncalli Catholic High School. Therese married the love of her life, Mark Schoettle, on January 20, 1973. Therese & Mark celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past year. Therese spent her younger years raising her boys at home and was one of the first female Little League Baseball Coaches in Indiana, where she coached her boys. She later went on to work as a Relationship Banker for Chase Bank and First Merchants retiring in 2011. Therese loved nothing more than chasing her grandkids around and attending their school events and activities. She enjoyed time at the family lake house at Heritage Lake and spent much of the summer and retirement years there. Therese was an avid Indiana Sports Fan and loved her Indiana Pacers & Indianapolis Colts. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church and was currently a parishioner of St. Roch Catholic Church.
Therese is survived by her loving husband; Mark Schoettle, sons; Jason (Amy) Schoettle, Jeremy (Gretchen) Schoettle and Ryan (Dyan) Schoettle, grandchildren; Bayley, Grace, Peyton, Faith, Regan, Symon, Sydney and Wyatt, siblings; Larry (Linda) Pfeiffer and Sue (Mike) Delaney.
Therese is preceded in death by her brother; Wayne Pfeiffer.
Public visitation hours will not be observed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Roch Catholic Church (3600 S. Pennsylvania St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227), on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:00am. Entombment will be immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Honor of Therese can be made to the: National Kidney Foundation, 911 E. 86th St., Suite #100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
