Thomas L. Kegley

Thomas L. Kegley, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at his home. Born July 14, 1935 in Indianapolis, Thomas was the son of the late Henry M. and Dorothy (Marksbury) Kegley. On September 4, 1954, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Suzanne (Heiskell) Kegley and she survives.

Mr. Kegley was a truck driver for over 30 years; in 2005, he retired from the Free Enterprise Systems. Tom was a faithful, charter member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Suzanne; his children, Tim (Patty) Kegley of Indianapolis, Sara (Scott) Butterfield of Indianapolis, Garry Kegley of Indianapolis, Christine Stocks of Indianapolis, and John (Jerri) Kegley of Nineveh; 18 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Nancy Albrecht.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Tom from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home. Morning prayers will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the funeral home followed by 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
