Virginia M. (Diver) Mullin

Virginia M. (Diver) Mullin passed away on Friday, October 14, 2016 in her home at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of sixty-two years, John W. Mullin. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the fifth of ten children born to Thomas and Louisa Diver of St. Francisville, IL. Virginia came to Indianapolis to work during WWII. After the war, she met and married John and together they raised five children, John (Pam), Tim (Kathy), Martha (Tom) Weber, Mary (Mark) Smith, and Margaret Bowers. Virginia was blessed with nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by three sisters. Virginia was a long time member of St. Catherine Parish, and in recent years, she was a member of St. Roch Parish. She was known for her common sense and, even to the end, her great sense of humor. Virginia was an avid sports fan. She loved watching everything including little league baseball, grade school kickball, high school basketball, Notre Dame football, IU basketball, and Colts football. She will be missed greatly by her family, friends, and wonderful neighbors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 10 a.m. in St. Roch Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Daniel F. O'Riley Funeral Home where prayers will be said on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. prior to Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
