James Richard Pfaff

James Richard Pfaff, 70 of Greenwood, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022. He was born May 23, 1952, in Beech Grove, Indiana.

Jim retired in 2017 from Kroger after 20 years. He was a member of SS. Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church. Jim was a devout Catholic. He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and the Indiana Pacers.

Jim will be remembered as a quiet, generous, and kind brother, uncle, and friend.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Arthur Andrew and Julia Ann Elson Pfaff, wife Janet L. Wolfe Pfaff, brother Stephen Andrew Pfaff, sister Marcia Ann Doerr.

Jim is survived by his siblings Thomas Elson Pfaff, John William Pfaff, Jerald Edward Pfaff, Joseph Arthur Pfaff, Mary Jane Strange, Marilyn Kay Wright and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Jim will be Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 12 pm – 1 pm at SS. Francis & Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 5901 West Olive Branch Road, Greenwood, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Greenwood, Indiana.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss! I just heard last night and was not able to attend the services. I have very fond memories of living with Aunt Judy and Jim many many years ago. He was always so nice and kind. I am sure he will be missed by many! Prayers and thoughts for all of you !
