Diane K. Gagen

Diane K. Gagen, 85 of Beech Grove, died Friday, June 17, 2022, at The Wellington at Southport. Diane was born December 21, 1936, in Indianapolis to Harold and Jacqueline Ford Seal.

Diane and her husband Joseph Gagen were the owners of Gagens House of Insurance from 1972 until they retired in 2005. She was a member of Sacred Heart and St. Mark Catholic Church. Diane was very dedicated to Joe, they lived, worked, shopped, traveled and dance together for 52 years. Diane was picky about the way her food was presented. She always set a beautiful table for family dinners. She was a very sharp dresser.

While living at The Wellington at Southport, Diane took up painting. Laughing with her friend Mary, quilting with Betty ”lol” and listing to music with Betty and Larry. She was not afraid to dance. Her two cats Ceaser and Felix kept her company. She enjoyed sitting and laughing anywhere and anytime.

Diane is proceeded in death by her parents, husband Joe, son John, brothers Don Seal, Gerald Seal. Diane is survived by her beloved family, daughter Jackie (Tim) Knapp, son Mike Gagen, grandchildren Jason (Kelley), Lyla (Kris), Cassie, Ryan, great grandchildren Hailey, Gage, Dalton, Jacob, Austin, Terah, Annabella, great great grandchildren Ion Jr and Willow.

Diane’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 21 from 5 – 8 PM at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. Her funeral will be Wednesday, June 22 at 10 AM at the funeral Home. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

In memory of Diane please celebrate her life by having a pepperoni pizza with extra cheese.

  3. I remember Joe and Dianne from many many years ago. I actually grew up with Jackie,John and Mike when they lived on Mann Rd In Beech Grove. Joe and Dianne were my car insurance people. They were the kindest and friendly people I can remember. RIP DIANNE. My mother passed away on June 1,2022.
