Gregory Todd Lemmel, M.D., 55, Greenwood, passed away peacefully at home April 20, 2021. Todd was born August 5, 1965, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Gregory G. Lemmel and Sandy (Michel) Lemmel, who survives.

He enjoyed a successful career as a gastroenterologist, working with Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Todd was a faithful member of Saints Francis & Clare Catholic Church. He loved photography and used this talent extensively during many trips to national parks. Above all, Todd was strongly devoted to his family. He will be fondly remembered for his intelligence, selflessness, and care for others.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Peg; children, Eric (Hope), Kyle, Kevin, and Kathryn; mother, Sandy Lemmel; brother, Trevor (Rachel) Lemmel; sisters, Missy (Tim) Schuh and Cristy (Jeff) Hayes; one beloved granddaughter, Amelia.

Though it has been some time since we have seen the Lemmel family, our days at OLG and Roncalli will always connect us to all of you. We remember Dr. Lemmel chaperoning the OLG DC trip and his late night care when one of the students had a contact lens issue. He was so patient! Deepest sympathies for your loss. Dr Lemmel was my gastroenterologist for many years and always got a kick out of me because he always looked so youthful and when he came into the examining room , I would say I can’t believe they let teenagers practice medicine! He had the biggest smile and would make one feel better just by smiling ! My heartfelt sympathy to his family , let it be comforting to keep his memory alive in their hearts!Joy Devine
