Jennifer made a tremendous impact in many nurses’s careers. Her dedication and passion to the practice of nursing will be deeply missed. Prayers to her family.
Jennifer was an awesome nurse educator. She made a difference in so many nurses lives including mine. She was a wonderful person. I will miss her.
I had the pleasure of first meeting Jennifer as a member of the Methodist Nurse Educator team in 2001. I as a leader for Clarian/IU Health, we collaborated on many initiatives to include the most recent redesign of New Team Member Orientation for the AAHC. She was one of the sweetest, considerate, bright, and forward thinking nurse educators I’ve ever worked with. Personally, her first response every time we saw each other was to ask about my family. God Bless this precious soul. May she rest in the arms of Our Lord and may He grant peace and healing to the loved ones and friends who will carry on without her.
I have known Jennifer since our high school days at Central High School in Evansville. We were majorettes together in high school and then on to University of Evansville. We reconnected years later in our nursing careers at Methodist Hospital. She was sweet-always with a smile. Whenever we saw each other the conversation always included the time we twirled fire as majorettes and Jennifer had a close call with the fire and her hair. We had many laughs about that episode. She was such a dedicated nurse. Most of all she loved her family. Jennifer you will be greatly missed. Love you my friend. My thoughts and prayers for her family at this time.
Jennifer was an extraordinary nurse who single-handedly influenced the lives of countless nurses as an advanced practice nurse, educator, and expert. She was the epitome of joy in Nursing as she modeled daily for many. She will remain an inspiration for lives she has touched and will continue to touch by the legacy she left at IUH. Father Gods grace and blessings on her family and all experiencing this loss at this time.
Jennifer was the first educator I met after moving here 27 years ago. I knew I had made the right choice in hospitals. She was truly gifted in education and was a tremendous influence on nursing. I learned many basics of great patient care from her that still use and pass on. Likewise, she was a wonderfully warm, compassionate person. Many blessings to her family and friends. Thank you for sharing this soul with us. She will be missed. Rest easy Jennifer.
Jennifer was a light in this dark world. She was a great encourager with such a kind and gentle way. She will be missed by many.
I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer during my many years at IU Health. She always worked collaboratively with other teams and delivered her work with passion and heart. I’m so sorry she left this Earth too soon but hope her family and friends are comforted knowing her life impacted so many! – Whitney Mucha
Jennifer or JD as I called her was an extraordinary and special individual. I will never forget her positive, joyful and caring attitude with colleagues and friends. Her commitment to nursing education and Methodist Hospital was inspirational. That said, it was obvious to everyone that JD’s true passion and love was for her family. Jennifer will be missed but her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her. Linda Q. Everett
I really admired Jennifer! She was so smart and so dedicated to making sure that people (patients, co-workers, colleagues) were taken care of. I can’t recall a time she ever complained…she was a real advocate of making sure staff and students were trained well and patient’s were safe!! I didn’t know much of her personal side of life, but she was very vibrant and respected in her work life!
She was one of the most brilliant people I’ve ever met. Her knowledge of nursing never made you feel inferior but hopeful to learn more. So very kind too. What an angel.
A beautiful and encouraging spirit, that will light the next life as she lit this one. Lord comfort her family.
Jennifer was a flower among us all. She reminded others to love life and the pursuit of knowledge. I will keep many special moments that we had close to my heart.
-Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old time is still a-flying; and this same flower that shines today, tomorrow will be dying (Heddrick). God Bless her family. With sincere regards, Angie Hiller.

Jennifer was awesome and an inspiring great person . She always had away to encourage me when my head would hang down low. What a wonderful person who gave to others . I will miss you.
I met Jennifer when she became the clinical instructor for critical care at Methodist. We were a tight knit group of educators who all shared a passion for nursing education. We also liked to have fun–creating late night video spoofs with “Annie” when we did CPR marathons. She was not only incredibly smart but insightful as well. She was instrumental in helping create an OB critical care core curriculum. Personally she was there to help me when my mother in law became critically ill. Lastly, she had an incredible singing voice and sang at my wedding. She helped make it a very special day. Jennifer, TTFN but always a place in my life.
Jennifer was a role model for me as a nursing educator. She was so passionate about her career, family, and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Jennifer helped so many nurses to become better nurses through education & guidance. She was always patience, kind & had a great smile. She dedicated many years to helping all the staff at Methodist – a real blessing to all .
I knew Jennifer through most of my career at Methodist and though we didn’t work together I had the greatest respect for her passion, capabilities, and joy. She touched so many nurses and was an incredible gift to patients and all of us.
So sad to hear of Jennifer’s passing. Fond memories of working with her at Perry Meridian High School Dad’s Club events. She was a tough lady with a fantastic personality keeping us guys in check while volunteering in the concession stands to help make her children’s school the best. Condolences to Mark, Noah and Hanna on the loss of a wonderful person.

As many have said, Jennifer was a joy in her love for nursing and education. She lives on in the lives she touched as a nurse, educator and human. Her smile says it all.
As I received the news of Jennifer’s passing today, I am in total shock. I have known her for 25-30 years and can only say she was one of the kindest persons I have ever known. She always put her family first and was so full of life. She was a great inspiration to her two children and always supported them in everything they did. I know how proud she was of her family and always tried to include others in their circle. May she have forever peace and the angels always celebrate her arrival in heaven. Prayers to the family for this tradget loss.

Jennifer was such an amazing, impactful nurse educator and leader. I met her when she was a staff educator for Clarian (IU Health) in 1999 and our paths would cross many times after. Jennifer always remembered who you were and asked how things were going. She made people feel valued by her actions. Her legacy will be felt for years to come.
She was a kind face in new environment when I started with IU Health in 2006. She was very involved with my training as a new unit coordinator, and she never forgot my ambitions for going back to school. Once I started school, she would occasionally send me emails asking me about my classes , and just about how things were going. I REALLY appreciated her for that. Being such a large organization, she cared about the people that worked around her. That’s a rare quality. She will be deeply missed.
Jennifer was my nurse educator when I came to Methodist in 1992. She was a true leader in nursing and nursing education. Just when you thought you had things figured out, Jennifer could point out the one thing you missed. She talked about quality and consistency before it became fashionable. She was there when you needed her. Her contribution to nursing will go on forever; heaven has a new angel and she is missed.
Jennifer always had a smile on her face. As an educator, she always made new things seem easy. Was positive and hard working. She has influenced me, always took to time to make work personal and ask about the family. These halls will not be the same.
I had the pleasure of knowing and working collaboratively with Jennifer for many years. I could count a on a smile and kind words at every turn. Even in phone conversations, I could sense the investment in others’ success. As an educator and a leader, thoughtful contributions impacted so many patients in ways that may never be fully recognized. Such a beautiful soul will be sadly missed.
Jennifer was always so cheerful and full of energy. I learned a lot from her. We have lost a very valuable gem of a nurse from our team.
I first met Jennifer at a South Indiana Conference UMC Clergy Spouse Refresher in the mid to late 90’s. She was warm & welcoming. I was so happy to see her at my orientation to IU Health in May 2010. Our paths have crossed several times since then. She’s always a joy to be with, she’s kind and caring and an excellent nurse educator. My thoughts and prayers are with Mark and all of her family, friends and coworkers.

Her passion and loyalty to her family and IU Health was evident in her conversations and actions. Such a great loss far too soon! She will be missed.
