It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Elizabeth Jane Dickerson, who left us on August 27th,2023. Jane is a cherished wife, survived by her husband Martin Jay Dickerson and her four children, Steven (Alexandra) and Christopher Doyle (Ashley), Brian Cranfill, and Sarah Jones (Paul). Jane or “Mamaw Jane” was also a very proud grandmother to Austin, Hannah, Christopher Jr. , Hayden and Kensly Doyle as well as Tayvion, Amya, and Davina Jones
Born on January 28th,1960, in Indianapolis, IN, to Joy and Grant McGuire, Jane was one of five children including Diane, Marilyn, Mike, Steven, who shared fond memories together.
Jane displayed a passion for helping others and pursued a fulfilling career as a an LPN and CNA, working with elderly patients and caring for them through their own final days.
Jane at one point was an avid bowler, and country line dancer. She also enjoyed many nights getting to yell bingo over and over as well as running a small candle business. As for hobbies, she was a prolific decorator with a pension for a southern style. She loved gardening and took lots of pride in her flowers and yard.
As a wife, Jane was devoted and caring beyond measure. Married for going on 30 years with Martin “Jay” Dickerson, they shared many great memories and moments together through trips across the country, simply enjoying their time and free hotel nights at different casinos, to bowling in leagues together.
Though Jane’s physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The memories of her company and laughter will continue to bring comfort and solace during this difficult time.
A memorial service to honor Jane’s life will be held on Thursday evening from 5pm to 6pm at Life Line Baptist Church 13387 N Slideoff Rd, Camby, IN 46113.

Jane for ever one of my besties! We have laughed and cried together many many times. Even though we met under crazy circumstances that’s what made our friendship so much fun❤️ You taught me so much about plants and decorating I will cherish forever. I miss our talks already. Keep watching over us our beautiful angel. Until we meet again ❤️ ❤️

Jane, I love you and miss you so much. I am so lucky to have had you in my life. You always made me feel so good about work and school, you never stopped letting me know how proud of me you were. I loved how I could always talk to you about anything, and how much comfort those talks brought me. I have so many amazing memories with you. Until we meet again ❤️

I can’t find words to express how saddened I am that I didn’t get to see that beautiful smile again before you left this crazy world. We had a very special friendship that I will forever cherish. I know you are missed so much by your family and Jay. I will continue to keep you all in prayer as you adjust through your grief.
