Lea Ann Carter Dillon, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, October 30, 2023. She was born on March 9, 1956, in Indianapolis.
Lea graduated from Southport High School in 1974. She worked in underwriting for State Auto Insurance Company for over 20 years. Retiring in 2022.
Lea was a social butterfly, always enjoying a good get-together with her family and friends. She had a quick wit even on her last days with her family. She was always making everyone feel good with her presence. Her most favorite thing was spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Lea is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Matt Dillon, father Robert E. Carter.
Lea is survived by her loving family, mother Amelia F. Carter, children Kellie (Jaylin) Dillon Marion, Brian Dillon, grandchildren Myah, Kyree, Maliyah, siblings Rob (Belinda) Carter, Trudy (Dale) Miller, Christina Watson and a host of family and friends.
Lea’s visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, 381 North Bluff Road, Greenwood, Indiana, 46142 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Lea’s life will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden.

I had the pleasure of working with Lea for many years. Lea was such a king person and very easy to talk to. She was excited to be able to retire so she could spend more time with her mom and grandchildren. My sincere condolences to her family. ❤️
