  5. A jar of teeth. My first memory of Uncle Dick is a jar of teeth. He was home from IU and I was visiting Grandma and Grandpa Bowling in Brownstown. I was fascinated with the jar of teeth he had and peppered him with questions. Why in the world would anyone have a jar of teeth? Uncle Dick was very kind and explained to me that you could learn a lot about a person by their teeth. I also learned that my Uncle Dick was a wonderful man.

  6. Terri — I was so sorry to hear about your dad! He was my dentist long before I knew you at Roncalli. He was always funny and kind and patient when Ruth and I would visit your house on Manker. Saying prayers of comfort for your and your family.

  7. Terri- I wanted to let you know that I’m thinking about you, and your brothers, during this difficult time. I always appreciated your dad’s sense of humor and cherish the time I spent at your house. You are in my thoughts.

  8. Our condolences to the entire family on Dick’s passing. We always appreciated he and Penny’s hospitality and friendly greetings whenever we saw them at the many gatherings through the years. He was a good man; may he Rest In Peace.
