LaMonda Soliday

January 22, 1933 ~ October 18, 2025

Born in: Hamilton, Ohio
Resided in: Indianapolis, Indiana

LaMonda Soliday passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 22, 1933, in Hamilton, Ohio, LaMonda led a rich and fulfilling life characterized by her family.

A devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Connersville, LaMonda found solace and strength in her faith, which sustained her through life’s many trials. She embraced the fellowship of her church.  LaMonda retired after 38 years with Ford Motor Company.

After residing in Connersville for many years, LaMonda moved to Indianapolis to be closer to her family. Her proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly the moments spent with her daughter, Tammy Bolen, and son, James (Sharon) Soliday, as well as her beloved grandchildren, James, Andrew, and Thomas Bolen. The laughter shared during fishing trips, the excitement of baseball games, and family gatherings, and the adventures taken while traveling created lasting memories that will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

LaMonda is survived by her son, James Juan (Sharon) Soliday; her daughter, Tammy Bolen; her deeply loved sister-in-law, Marjorie Plummer, who was like a sister to her; as well as her grandchildren, James, Andrew, and Thomas Bolen, and numerous nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her presence.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Sarah (Sparks) Plummer; her sisters, Bobbi Harris, Norma Callihan, and her brother, Gene Juan Plummer, who will welcome her with open arms in the embrace of eternity.

Family and friends may gather to honor LaMonda’s life during the visitation on October 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 6107 S. Guestbook

  1. Sending love and prayers for this difficult time. May the Lord hold you in his hands and uplift you, may the Lord send blessings and peace.

  2. LaMonda was one of the most sweetest ladies I’ve ever met. Her smile could tell you how much she loved life. I know her family meant everything to her; you could just see that when she was with them; they were the love of her life. She will greatly be missed. Love and prayers to the family.

  3. Though I never had the pleasure of meeting LaMonda, I am eternally grateful to her for allowing my husband and I to purchase her home a few years ago. We were astounded by her green thumb and have done our best to keep many of her plants alive in the backyard. The peonies, four types of irises, Lenten rose, and the mimosa tree are all thriving. In fact, the purple half of her bicolor lilac bush bloomed on the day of her passing. Your family is always welcome to stop by and reminisce if it would be of comfort to you.
May God’s peace be over you,
    Annalyn and Eric

  4. We are sending our condolences to the family. We didn’t know LaMonda but we did know Gene Plummer. Our granddaughter and her husband (Annalyn and Eric Adams) bought LaMonda’s house on 18th Street in Connersville and they have very much enjoyed all of the beautiful flowers, trees and bushes in the yard! Annalyn said the lilac bush bloomed on October 18th, the day LaMonda passed away. One last tribute.
