She left this world peacefully on December 23, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana, leaving behind a legacy woven together with love, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to her family.
As the cherished daughter of General Lee and Rosie Mae (Burns) Duncan Jr., Dianna’s upbringing laid the groundwork for her nurturing spirit. Her maiden name, Duncan, is a testament to her roots, from which she blossomed into a woman whose life would be dedicated to the care and support of those around her.
Dianna’s passion for her family was palpable, especially in her roles as a loving wife and doting grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Michael Everling Sr., who was her steadfast companion throughout their journey together. Their bond was a beautiful illustration of partnership, enriched over the years with laughter and shared moments. Dianna found joy in each of her children, from her daughter, Janet (Donny) Short, to her son, Michael (Nicole) Everling Jr., both of whom she guided with love. As a grandmother, her heart swelled at the sight of her grandchildren: Christopher, Samantha, Addison, Daniel, Mikayla, Sara, Brandy, Kaitlyn, Christian, Sheldon, and Ryan, each bringing her unique joys and irreplaceable memories.

Beyond her family, Dianna was a woman of many talents and interests. She delighted in doing crafts and spent countless hours baking and sewing, pouring not just ingredients and fabric but love into everything she created. One could often find her immersed in diamond painting or lost in the aisles of her favorite stores, indulging her passion for shopping. These activities were not merely hobbies; they were her outlets for creativity and expressions of her love, whether through handmade gifts or delightful Christmas treats culinary creations served at holiday gatherings.
Her personality radiated warmth; she had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her laughter often rang out during family gatherings, a sound that will echo in the hearts of her loved ones for years to come.
