Jackie Kriner

July 10, 1953 ~ June 23, 2026

Born in: Beech Grove, Indiana
Resided in: Indianapolis, Indiana

With hearts full of both sorrow and gratitude, we remember Jackie Kriner, who passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, in Indianapolis. Jackie was born on July 10, 1953, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late John & Madeline Schimpf. Jackie’s life is cherished and deeply remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Jackie’s early years in Beech Grove shaped a spirit marked by warmth, integrity, and a quiet strength. Throughout her life, she found joy in the simple rhythms of home and cared deeply for the spaces where she gathered with the people she loved. Jackie was known as a habitual “cleaner”; her home stood as a testament to her dedication, always spic & span—a haven she created that reflected both her attention to detail and her unwavering sense of pride. Her happy place was found in the peaceful order and comfort she so lovingly provided, and those who visited felt wrapped in her care.

Jackie could often be found at the “Ball Field” watching her son’s play baseball during their high school and college athletic careers. Jackie loved to attend her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. She was their biggest cheerleader!

Jackie’s passing leaves an ache in the hearts of all who knew her, yet the memory of her presence continues to shine brightly. The legacy she leaves behind is found in the gentle impact she had on those around her, the steadiness of her devotion, the way she celebrated the small things, and the love she invested in her daily life.

As we say goodbye, we hold close the treasured memories of her laughter, her kindness, and the quiet beauty of the life she lived. Those who were touched by Jackie will remember her not only for the impeccable care she took of her home but also for the comfort, welcome, and love she instilled in all she did.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years; Terry Kriner, sons; Blair (Jennifer) Kriner, and Brad Kriner, along with her grandchildren; Katie, Max, Jack, Sam, Beau, Hannah, and Joey.

Jackie is preceded in death by her infant son; Brett Kriner, and brother; Franklin Schimpf III.

Visitation will be held at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory on Wednesday, July 1, from 3:00pm-7:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 11:00am at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.

Though words can scarcely capture the fullness of her spirit, Jackie Kriner’s memory lives on in the hearts of many. She will be deeply missed and ever lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jackie’s honor can be made to St. Barnabas Catholic Church (8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46217) or Roncalli High School (3300 Prague Road, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46227).
