Jack Ferrell
November 12, 1941 – September 30th, 2026
Jack Ferrell, 84, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family.
Born in Acton, Indiana, on November 12, 1941, to Carl and Vera (Woolman) Ferrell, Jack grew up in Cumberland, Indiana, and graduated from Warren Central High School in 1959. He married the love of his life, Sharon (Pratt) Ferrell, on April 21, 1963, at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Acton. They shared 63 years of marriage filled with love, family, and countless memories.
Jack was a hardworking and generous man. He worked for Stewart Carey, Burnett Binford, and Glastek before founding and owning Indy Glass, where he worked until his retirement in 2014. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need.
While Jack was proud of his work, his greatest accomplishment was his family. He absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they adored him right back. He loved spending time with them, making memories, and spoiling them. He especially treasured his six great-grandchildren—Lily, Preston, Everette, Grayson, Addison, and Hailey.
Jack enjoyed old cars, family time, and spoiling his beloved dog, Precious. He was a member of Wallace Street Church in Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Vera (Woolman) Ferrell; sister Reba Jean Bensheimer; and granddaughter Brittany Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters Annetta Jenkins (Steve) and Cynthia Harper (David); sister Bonnie Lloyd; sister-in-law Pamela White; grandchildren Christopher Carter (Nicole), Jessica McKee (Josh), Ashley Willey (Mat), and Jacob Sullivan (Jo); six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jack was a man with a huge heart, a generous spirit, and an unwavering love for his family. He was the kind of man who worked hard, helped others, loved deeply, and never asked for anything in return. His family will forever cherish the memories he gave them and the love he poured into their lives.

Dad, you’ve been a blessing to many including myself. Much love and prayers to my best friend, Anet and mom and the entire family. Love you all!
When Jack started Indy Glass on Sadlier Circle, he let me move my business into the corner of his warehouse. That gave me a jump start that I needed. He helped me manage so many things and remembered every single conversation we had. Organized to the nth degree.
Sharon and family and Bonnie his sister who could hold her own with him. God Bless and thank you for sharing Jack with the glass world. Praying for all of you. And it has to be a RED candle.
So so sorry for your loss. Praying for you all in the days ahead. My sincere condolences. ~Deanna
