Apolonio Hortinela Deximo

Apolonio Hortinela Deximo, 76, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at his residence March 25, 2024.  Mr. Deximo was born August 15, 1947, in Isabela, Neg Occ, Philippines, to the late Frederico Deximo and Florentina (Hotrinela) Deximo.  Apolonio married Maria Edna (Doloso) in 1972, and she survives.  
 
He graduated from Marian Academy in 1966 and from La Consolacion University Philippines in 1973. Apolonio then served in the Army from 1974-76 during the Vietnam War. He was employed by RCA in Indianapolis as a supervisor for many years. A devout Catholic, Apolonio had been a parishioner at St. Simon, Holy Spirit, and most recently at Nativity Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and an occasional trip to the casino. Above all, Apolonio was strongly devoted to his family to whom he was affectionately known as Papa.
 
 Survivors include his loving wife, Edna; children, Alain John Deximo (Allison), Mark Anthony Deximo, and Christina Ann Deximo (Alicia); grandchildren, Zander, Simone, Miriam, Ronin, and William;  one of several brothers and sisters also survives. 
 
Visitation will be held Monday, April 1, 2024, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., in the Narthex at Nativity Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
