Becky Jones

September 30, 1965 ~ September 13, 2025

Born in: Indianapolis, Indiana
Resided in: Indianapolis, Indiana

Becky Jones, cherished by all who knew her, passed away peacefully in Indianapolis on September 13, 2025, at the age of 59. Becky was born on September 30, 1965, in Indianapolis, to James Flowers & June Mahoney. Becky carved a life dedicated to nurturing those around her with grace, humor, and an unwavering spirit.

Throughout her career, Becky found her calling as the catering coordinator for McAlister’s Deli, where her passion for helping others shone brightly. In her earlier years, she opened her heart and home to countless children by running a daycare, embracing each child with the warmth and love that earned her the title of “mom” amongst them. For Becky, every day was an opportunity to make a positive impact, and she never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own.

Becky’s laughter was infectious, and her goofy sense of humor could light up any room. Those who crossed her path quickly discovered that she was a friend to all, someone who never met a stranger. Her kindness extended well beyond the grasp of everyday friendship; she was a giver in every sense of the word, always ready to lend a hand, share a joke, or provide a listening ear.

Education played an important role in Becky’s life; she graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis and carried with her the strength of character that her experiences shaped. Her faith ran deep, and it was evident in how she lived her life – with conviction, compassion, and resilience.

Nothing brought Becky more joy than being surrounded by her beloved kids and grandchildren. Family was her sanctuary, and she reveled in the time spent together, creating irreplaceable memories filled with love and laughter. At the same time, she cherished her visits to Daytona Beach, a place that filled her soul and where she felt most at peace beside the water’s edge.

When she wasn’t bringing people together through her culinary efforts or family gatherings, Becky enjoyed immersing herself in her hobbies, which included crafting, crocheting, and scrapbooking. She possessed a competitive spirit that shone during family game nights, where she often joyously triumphed over her kids and grandchildren in Mario Party with her signature mix of wit and enthusiasm.

Becky is survived by her loving husband of 27 years; Wayne Jones, children; Daniel (Vanessa) Gilbreath, Jonathan Jones, Keri Jones, Emma (Glenn) Justice, and Katie Jones, grandchildren; Noah, Brooklynne, Jasey, baby Gilbreath, and baby Justice, mother; June Mahoney, step mother; Tina Flowers Cornell, siblings; Jim (Vicki) Flowers, Lucy (Bill) Kelly, Jeannie (Barry) Roach, Mandy (Gabe) Burton, Missy Flowers, Lisa (Dave) Orht, and Mike (Glenda) Lee.

Becky is preceded in death by her brother; David Flowers, father; James Flowers, and nephews; David Flowers Jr. and William Roach II.

Visitation will be held at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (6107 South East Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227) on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Becky’s honor to: Ovar’ Coming Together 2625 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.

Becky Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and selfless service. While she may no longer be with us in body, the spirit of her kindness and the warmth of her laughter will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

    • I met Becky when Banta Campus opened They were starting their 1st small groups. Me and Becky were placed in the same group. I knew right away we would hit it off. The funny thing is Becky said she was here to get more into God’s word not so much to make friends. But I wasn’t having that. She became so close to all us women. Becky eventually became our leader. Groups change and people come and go but 3 of us have remained together. Becky was strong and fought with everything she had. She loved family more than anything. Her children will carry on her strength as she gave them the example as she lived her life every day. I will miss her so much. We know she’s in heaven and in God’s living arms.

  5. Sending our love and thoughts to Wayne and the rest of your family. Sleep tight Becky. Love from us here in Norway xxx

  6. I may not have known her personally, but I’ve interacted with her and spend years playing video games with her wonderful daughters. God bless her and her family, may the lord help them through the grieving process. God bless.
