Cynthia Louise "Cindy" Scott

Cynthia “Cindy” Louise Scott, (formerly Greer), 68, of Indianapolis, passed away at her home on the morning of May 14, 2022. Cindy was born on September 29, 1953, in Beech Grove, Indiana at St. Francis Hospital to the late Robert M. Greer and Eleanor T. (Prestel) Greer Teepe. On May 18, 1973, Cindy wed Larry Scott in St. Catherine Catholic Church.

Cindy was a 1971 graduate of Emmerich Manual High School. In 2018, Cindy retired from Franciscan Health as a Financial Advisor. The ultimate hostess, Cindy relished in hosting the entire family at her home for Thanksgiving. If you were lucky enough to have her Mac and Cheese, Cherry Delight Pie, Deviled Eggs, and Stuffing, you knew just how talented Cindy was in the kitchen. Cindy didn’t know a stranger and was everyone’s favorite “mom” as her daughter, Meg, grew up. A lover of dogs, the ocean, being around people, a good diet coke, and her family, Cindy’s zest for life and strong-willed persona will be greatly missed.

Along with both parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her sister, Diane T. Faulkner; brothers, Donald J. Greer and George M. Greer; and her stepfather, Herman L. Teepe.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Larry Scott; daughter, Megan Scott; siblings, Tom (Maureen) Greer, Al (Jennifer) Greer, John (Natalee) Greer, and Bob Greer; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

The Life Celebration® Visitation for Cindy will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the chapel at the O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. Morning Prayers will begin in the funeral home Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM prior to the celebration of Mass. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James M. Farrell at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis. Following the celebration of Mass, burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
