Dale William Hartman was born on July 24, 1942. He was the son of the late William Henry Hartman and the late Esther Caroline (Rode) Hartman and was the third generation to live on the family farm on Cumberland Road.
Dale graduated from Warren Central High School, Indiana Business College (now the University of Indianapolis) with a degree in Business/Accounting and a few years later went to Indiana University to earn his Health Facilities Administrator certification/license.
On October 20, 1973 Dale married Jena Elizabeth Worland at Nativity Catholic Church in Indianapolis, IN. Their marriage blessed them with a son, Kyle Christopher Joseph. Kyle and his wife, Marney, now reside in North Platt, Nebraska.
Dale’s professional career included being administrator at several nursing homes; district, regional and national accounting director and also as vice-president of a national health-care corporation.
Dale is survived by his wife, Jena; son, Kyle and daughter-in-law Marney; his twin nieces Karmen Mickey and Karen Harmon; several cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Esther Hartman; his sister, Mary Ann McNew and her husband, Donald; his in-laws, L.L. and Maudelene Worland; his brother-in-law Ed Worland and several cousins.
Dale was a member of Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana, where visitation will be on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10:00am-12:00pm with a funeral Mass immediately following at 12:00pm in the church. Burial will be immediately following at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Indianapolis.
