David L. Steelman

David L. Steelman, 65, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday July 3, 2023. He was born June 2, 1958, in Beech Grove.
David graduated from Center Grove High School in 1976. He then attended Central Nine to complete his training to be a machinist and went on to an apprenticeship and a career with Egenolf Machines for over 20 years. He married the love of his life, Nancy (Howe) Steelman in 2000.
David enjoyed playing golf and spending time with nature but mostly spending time with his grandchildren. He was devoted to his family and loved them with all of his heart.
David is preceded in death by his father, William Steelman, and sisters Karen (Steelman) Phelps and Linda (Steelman) Still. David is survived by his beloved wife Nancy Steelman, mother Sue Steelman, children Courtney (Steve) Turner, Grant (Sarah) Steelman, Nicholas Davis, Nolan (Chelsea) Davis, Noah (Kylie) Davis, Gloria (Miguel) Davis, Nathan (Taylor) Davis, sister Penny (Gary) Kelly and his 18 grandchildren, Adrianna, Chase, Gavin, Liam, Ella, Olivia, Rory, Nohlee, Karsynn, Rossi, Parker, Andee, Nylah, Naomi, Phinn, Madison, Nathan, Mateo.
The visitation for David will be Saturday, July 8 from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. A Celebration of David’s life will follow at 2:00 PM at the O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 S.
